If you haven't already seen the billboards on Autoroutes 15 and 13, you've probably heard people talking about them. Just two weeks after three Lauzon fall campaign superboards went up - sober in appearance and purely informative in content - they sustained a major graffiti attack. The culprit was well-known Montreal graffiti artist Arpi.
It took the major, concerted efforts of Automobiles Lauzon, Beauchemin, Astral Media and Arpi to get through the mass of legal permissions required from different levels of government to get this project off the ground. According to Astral Media, the concept was a radical first in outdoor advertising, and its doability was rated somewhere in the 5% range. The goal was to create something in line with Lauzon's image...unique and ahead of its time.
But when all was said and done, we were so satisfied with the experience that we decided to make a donation to Café Graffiti, a gallery dedicated entirely to street art.
Looking forward to seeing you soon,
Michel Lauzon and All the Team
